We are getting busy busy busy with the fair being this week. The kids will be showing rabbits, chickens, sheep, goats and several of their crafts. Their big day is Thursday when they show all their animals. Lots of good luck to them. It takes a lot of hard work, time and money to get the animals ready. Whatever they place I want the kids to know that they did their best and showed that animal to the best of their ability. In the end its one person’s opinion that decides placing, it doesn’t mean that the next person won’t like it better or worse. It’s important to understand sportsmanship when showing.
We are also working out plans and arrangements to have a Babydoll ram join the farm. So hopefully we can add more ewes later on. Then at the end of October we will have a hampshire boar joining our hampshire girls. We can’t wait to see what the offspring will look like.
